This object trail was developed in partnership with Leicester City of Sanctuary as part of Leicester Museums & Galleries commitment to providing a welcoming environment for people who are seeking sanctuary. Leicester City of Sanctuary’s mission is to welcome asylum seekers and refugees in and around Leicester. To support them to rebuild their lives, develop skills and become part of the community.
As part of Refugee Week, a small group of refugees and asylum seekers from the charity toured the museum and chose their favourite object to be part of this trail.
