There’s lots going on for all the family at Leicester Museums this Christmas!

We are decking the halls and getting into the festive spirit with activities that children and adults will love. Enjoy our festive steam train, stories with Santa, café treats and unique shopping experiences; cosy up for a family Christmas movie, festive crafts and much, much more!

Experience the Victorian splendour of Abbey Pumping Station at the popular Christmas Steam Day on Sunday 30 November and ride the festive vintage steam railway! Leicester’s historic medieval Guildhall has lots on for all ages, including Santa’s 'North Pole Tales' for under 5s and join Mr Dickens on a magical history tour.

Unique experiences

If you are looking for a Christmas experience with a twist for older children and adults, why not join us at Guildhall for Santa’s Magical History tour presents Krampus, for a Christmas Ghost story by MR James on Monday 1 December or Chilling Tales for Christmas from 5-20 December.

Christmas for Foodies

Join us for a Regal Christmas on Sunday 7 Dec at King Richard III Visitor Centre and discover how Christmas was celebrated in medieval England with a sumptuous Christmas meal, or book a festive afternoon tea for all the family at Jewry Wall, children will receive a personal letter from Santa and a small festive gift to take home.
