Tutankhamun is one of the most famous names now associated with ancient Egypt, but why is this? Mystery and intrigue surrounds so much of Egyptian life, death, beliefs and practices. By interacting with real and replica objects, children can explore what everyday life was like for ordinary people, Pharaohs, scribes and even the historians and archaeologists who made some of these amazing finds.

Learning outcomes:

  • To understand the achievements of the early civilisation of ancient Egypt
  • To develop awareness of ancient Egyptian art and culture
  • To devise and address historically valid questions about cause and significance

The box is available to collect from Leicester Museum & Art Gallery and costs £55.00 for a two-week loan.
