Author Book Reading: Spider Hair

Event Description

Join author Laura Jeffcote for a reading of her children’s book Spider Hair.

Reading of Spider hair followed by cut and stick activity.

Spider Hair is about a small boy called Bear, who wants more hair. It was inspired by Laura’s childhood memories of her pets, often the source of great hilarity. She suggests that there’s probably not many children who haven’t tried to wear their cat, guinea pig or hamster, as a wig. It’s also about spiders and the bad rap they get.

Please go to the top of the page to book a ticket for each child attending. Adults do not require a ticket, however all children must be accompanied by an adult.

About Laura Jeffcote

Laura is an animation designer and illustrator, mainly for children’s me-dia. At home, she looks after dysfunctional rescue cockatiels and holidays in an egg sized caravan.

Laura hopes that children enjoy Spider hair. It was great fun to bring to life and she plans to write more adventures for Bear and his family.
