Discover Leicester Guildhall, the city’s oldest surviving public building and one of the UK’s best-preserved timber-framed halls, dating back over 600-years. During Heritage Open Days, enjoy free guided tours exploring its rich history-from Shakespearean links and Medieval Leicester to its 1920s museum transformation, and the mystery of King Lear’s legendary burial. On Friday 19th, join a special tour on the infamous and notorious figures who visited the Guildhall, plus a 1pm presentation on the stained-glass windows in the Mayor’s Parlour. Uncover the stories behind this remarkable building.
