  • The assistance of Colin Hyde of the East Midlands Oral History Archive, University of Leicester.
  • Leila Houston, who photographed residents and participants for the exhibition.
  • The support of the team at Aylestone Library and Leisure Centre.
  • The Saffron Lane Resource Centre.

This exhibition has been co-produced by local people and the team at Leicester Museums and Galleries.

Leicester Museums and Galleries are a National Portfolio Organisation, supported by Arts Council England.

Dedication

We dedicate this exhibition to the memory of our former colleague Philip French, who was the museum’s Social History Curator from 1990 to 2019. Always supportive of projects working with local communities, we know this exhibition would be right up his street.

Philip French, 9th January 1959, to 8th November 2024.
