Join us for a free, drop-in event to remember the many killed in the Holocaust, in recent genocides and in fleeing danger to seek sanctuary.

The commemmoration day will open with a speech by Professor Aubrey Newman. There will be readings and film of the testimonies of survivors and personal stories of family members lost. Also view an exhibition of the Wiener Library from its origins in the holocaust to the present day. Watch an installation by artist George Sfougaras* of two films exploring the loss of the Jewish community in Greece through images and poetry, and the illustrated story ‘A Winter’s Night in Prague’, accompanied by a lament by Israeli Oud player Gal Hever. Take part in a Foundation Stones workshop to create your own message or image to be included as part of the new national Holocaust Memorial.
