Join us as we launch the CBA Festival of Archaeology at the Abbey Pumping Station in Leicester.

Festival of Archaeology Launch

Explore health and medicine in the past with our historical re-enactor.  Join ULAS archaeologist Stephen Baker for a talk on the mass graves and other burials recently uncovered as part of the Waterside excavations in the city.

We have a series of bookable events going on throughout the day:


Plague, Pestilence and the Black Death

Raksha Dave is best known as an archaeologist who's featured on Time Team and Digging for Britain.


Following a welcome by City Mayor, Sir Peter Soulsby and Neil Redfern, Executive Director of the CBA, Raksha will answer questions submitted by members of the public about her life and career to date and the valuable role of archaeology.
