Free event showcasing food grown in wheelbarrows by Leicester school children. Join us for a free day out celebrating the Grow Your Own Grub Competition!

Activities include:

• View the Mealbarrows created by local schools and vote for your favourite


• Enjoy a ride on a train with Railway Day (train rides cost 50p, cash only, children must be accompanied by an adult)


• See inside our new electric library book bus, enjoy free craft activities, story telling and more!

Entry to the museum and grounds is free plus the café will be open for light refreshments.
