Abbey Pumping Station Food & Craft Fair

Step into the magnificent Victorian surroundings of Leicester’s iconic Abbey Pumping Station and celebrate the very best of local food, drink, art and craftsmanship at our Food & Craft Fair.

Set against the backdrop of this heritage venue, discover a vibrant showcase of exceptional food producers, artists and artisan makers — all coming together for one unforgettable weekend.

A Feast for the Senses

Browse a tempting array of stalls serving everything from savoury pies, curries, pizza to indulgent sweet stuff and cakes.

Sip on handcrafted milkshakes, specialist coffee, refreshing cider tastings and expertly mixed cocktails as you explore.

Inside the marquee, meet talented local makers and artists, and don’t miss our collection of vintage foodie vehicles and delivery bicycles — including the Kirby & West milk float, Frears & Blacks bread van, and our fully working coal-fired fish and chip van.

Family Fun All Weekend

Bring the whole family! Children can:

  • Ride the vintage railway (just 50p per ride)

  • Play in the Forget-Me-Not Garden or adventure playground

  • Have fun in the sand pit

Pack a picnic blanket, relax on the grounds!

Be sure to explore our outdoor exhibits, including the steam shovel, Morris crane and the famous Leicestershire TARDIS.

Adults: £2
Children (under 13): Free

Bike parking is available onsite, and dogs are welcome in the museum grounds.
