To celebrate International Women’s Day 2024, great grandson Peter Barratt and actress Ruth Pownall reprise their sell out Edinburgh Fringe spoken word show on Leicester suffragette Alice Hawkins.
Peter and Ruth give a stirring account of her hard-fought campaign for women’s right over a 100 years ago.Illustrated throughout by the suffrage collection still with her descendants, including Alice’s sash, hunger strike medal and more.
