In partnership with Leicester Museums & Galleries, Somali Development Services CIC (SDS) is proud to present 'The Somalinimo Exhibition – The Essence of Being Somali'. This exhibition celebrates the rich history, heritage, culture, traditions, literature, and contribution of Somali people, both in Somalia and within Leicester.

It provides an opportunity for Somali communities to share their stories, preserve their heritage, and connect generations, while inviting the wider community to learn, understand, and appreciate Somali identity and history.

SDS has been serving the Somali community and other disadvantaged communities since 2004. Their mission is to improve quality of life, promote social cohesion, and support individuals and families to achieve social and economic inclusion. They work to ensure that newcomers to Leicester are welcomed, respected, healthy, and able to access equality of opportunity.
