Botany Workshop - Dissecting and drawing a half flower

Event Description

An afternoon workshop conducted by the Leicestershire Society of Botanical Illustration.

The objective of this workshop is to demonstrate the structure of the flower. This can be useful if you are a Botanical Painter or Illustrator or just wish to find out more about flower structure.

We will dissect a flower to identify the floral parts and you will be shown how to cut a flower in half and the correct way to draw the half flower in graphite or pen and ink.

Materials will be provided or participants are welcome to bring their own.
