Join Dr Angela Stienne as she returns to Leicester Museum & Art Gallery for a special book signing of Mummified, The stories behind Egyptian mummies in museums. Mummified is an insightful and thought-provoking exploration of the ethical, historical, and emotional journey of Egyptian mummies from Egypt to our local museums.

Through captivating storytelling, Dr. Angela Stienne unravels the complex narratives surrounding mummified bodies, questioning the ways in which they have been collected, displayed, and interpreted. We have long forgotten to step back and ask ourselves why Egyptian mummies are in our museums, how we came to see them as museum objects, and what that says about us.
Books will be available for purchase in the museum shop.
