The birth of Tourism in Leicester
Thomas Cook offered fresh air and gentle exercise on many of his pioneering holiday tours in the 19th century and you can enjoy the same by joining our walk today. In just one hour, our guide will explore the worldwide spread of the Cook's travel business and the close connections between the Cook family and Leicester.
The walk finishes at Leicester Museum & Art Gallery, where a place is reserved for you to find out more at the exhibition ‘Round the World with Thomas Cook’
