Exhibition celebrating the Queen's 70 years on the throne at St Barnabas Library
Leicester Museums & Galleries in partnership with Ready, Steady, Create (the St Barnabas Friday craft group) have created an exhibition celebrating Queen Elizabeth II’s 70 years on the throne.
With loans from the group and rare items from the Museums’ Collection on display it also includes photographs documenting the Queen’s visits to the city since the 1950s.
The exhibition will be launched as part of the library’s Jubilee Party on Wednesday 1st June 2022 between 10am-12noon and 2pm-4pm, which will include Jubilee creative play with Spark Arts, a Royal Carriage photo booth, a sample 1950’s street party and adult silk painting workshop. A drop in, free event.
Please note, this exhibition is at St Barnabas Library only and will be on display for the rest of the year.
