General FAQs
Is it free to get in? Yes entry to Belgrave Hall Gardens is free, however we do suggest a small £2 donation. On special event days there may be a charge to enter.
Is there parking? Unfortunately there is no parking on-site but local on-street parking is available in the surrounding area. During our larger events there is limited free parking at Vicarage Lane car park. The car park is also available for hire during weddings and venue hire bookings. During some of our larger events there is limited free parking but please check the individual event listing for details.
Can you take photographs? Yes you can for personal use. For commercial photography please contact us.
Is the Belgrave Hall haunted? There have been many investigations and stories of the building being haunted, you can find out for yourself by booking onto one of the regular ghost vigils held in the building. Ghost vigils at Belgrave Hall are organised by external professional paranormal groups. See our What's On calendar to check availability.
Is there a café at Belgrave Hall? There is not a café a Belgrave Hall, however you are welcome to bring a picnic to our beautiful Gardens. At some of our events there will be food and drink stalls, but please check beforehand.
Is Belgrave Hall itself always open when the gardens are? There is no access to the main Hall expect during special event days. We are now a beautiful heritage site, we have a brilliant summer events programme with family events, open theatre and our annual Food Fair, please see our What's On calendar to check availability.
What days do you open: We are open April to September on every Wednesday. We are also have open weekends which fall on the first full weekend of every month during April to September. Please see our What's On calendar to check for upcoming special event days.

How do I purchase tickets for performances and events? Tickets are now available to purchase in person at Leicester Guildhall or by telephone: 0116 253 2569.
Can you hire Belgrave Hall? Yes you can hire the Gardens, Marquee, Stable Block and the Hall for your Wedding, meeting or event, please visit our Hire Page for more information.
Can I get married at Belgrave Hall? Yes you can have your marriage ceremony and reception at Belgrave Hall. Please visit our Wedding Page for more information.

How can I make a compliment, comment or complaint? Visitors are welcome to make their comments directly with museum staff, who will attempt to address your query themselves or pass on your message to relevant museum colleagues. We always welcome your feedback so visitors are also welcome to send their comments by email or on the Leicester Museums & Galleries Facebook, Twitter and Instagram pages.
